Trail : home / Charities/Fundraising
Children of Gisburn Primary School are encouraged to help other members of the community, whether at home or abroad. Parents/friends are very generous in their support for various charities i.e.£500 for Manchester Children's Hospital.
We have lots of fun on Red Nose Day and enjoy numerous 'Cake' mornings to raise money for Children In Need and Breast Cancer Care. Last year we also supported Farm Africa, Sport Relief, Jeans for Genes and Gisburn Festival Hall Defibrillator Appeal.
This year, we held our 'Spotacular' Cake & Bun Sale for Children In Need and some of the money raised was given to children from Tanzania, who visited us as part of The Bethany Project.
In March, we had lots of fun celebrating red nose day and raised money by wearing something funny for the day.
We are now looking forward to taking part in 'Walk 4 Wildlife' on Friday, 19th May, when we will be raising money for 'Wildlife Vets International', which provides the vetinary support and skills to conservationists saving endangered species.
