The Local Authority (Lancashire) is the responsible for admission to Gisburn School in line with local policy. If you would like your child to attend, please contact Pupil Access Team (East) on 01254 220714.
Parents who would like to visit are most welcome, please contact Mrs Feber (Headteacher).
The age at which children can be admitted to school is determined by the Education Committee. Current County Policy allows for:-
" Those children whose fith birthday falls between the 1st September 2017 and 31st August 2018, are to be admitted at the beginning of the Autumn Term 2018".
Our admission number approved for the year 2018/19 is 20.
In the event that school is over subscribed then preference to admission will be given in accordance with County Policy, which can be found in the 'General Information for Parents' booklet'.
During the Summer term, you will be invited to bring your child into school. This will enable you to meet your child's Class teacher and ask any relevant questions, which may not have been answered in the School Prospectus and Website.
We want to make starting school a happy time and hope that this gradual introduction will enable your child to settle at the beginning of the Autumn term.
